About Angeli: Introduced to skiing at age 8, Angeli VanLaanen spent her early days plying the steep and deep powder at Mt. Baker, where her mother would bring her and her brother on weekends. The third generation in her family to shred on two sticks, Angeli was quick to get noticed for her talent for the sport.

Currently, Angeli is a member of the Breckenridge freeski. She’s competed worldwide in Pipe and Slopestyle and is a two-time winner of the SuperPipe event at the Vermont Freeski Open. Last summer she placed second in Slopestyle at the New Zealand Open. Known for boosting large in the pipe, Angeli also gets recognized for buttery smooth spins off the kickers.

Currently, Angeli is focused on competitions, but is also committed to getting into the backcountry this season. She currently filming with industry legend Kris Ostness for the Atomic team movie and also working on a movie project with the Oakley women’s team.
